The artist Anne-Mie Van Kerchoven was asked to choose a series of masterpieces from the history of mankind. The new didactic tool was named the artpad. It suits those already familiar with art as well as those who aren’t familiar with it yet. This big book with removable pages can also be used as easel.
The project Art Story which introduces the new tool started in October 2011 in the female prison of Sequedin (Lille). In 2012-2013 a collaboration was possible with Les Ecrivains Publics asbl in the prison of Tournai. Next to astonishing examples of prose and poetry, this collaboration resulted in strong expression of visual arts.
During the year 2014, the artsit Baudouin Oosterllynck, the slam artist Seckou Ouologuem and the conceptual artist Zachary Sussskind organize workshops in the prison of Andenne.
An international group of specialists has evaluated both the artpad and a series of tests in different prisons. This way the artpad is now a very complete instrument which may facilitate the process of rehabilitation for those who use it in their art classes. The organization aims to promote the new instrument and put it into practice in houses of detention and legal medicine, both in Belgium and in foreign countries (versions in Dutch, French and English)
This project was the topic of an exhibition entitled To Dream beyond Walls organized at the Catholic University of Louvain in May 2013. From November 2014 to March 2015, the artpadiens, named for the users of the ArtPad three consecutive exhibitions held in a hall of the Museum Dhont-Dhaenens in Deurle, as curators and creators of works.

Detainees in Andenne curated a triple massive event which runs from November 2014 to March 2015. In the third phase (February 2015), they realize an exhibition of their own work. This event was possible thanks to a collaboration between the association and artist Zachary Susskind group Stillhouse from New York.
First phase from 23 -11 till 4-1 -2015: Coincidence will provide the first verse. Here are three topics: My child, You and Me; My suffering, You and Me; My Job, You and Me. A selection of works of the permanent collection.
Second phase from 7-1 till 1-2: Opening to the hidden faces of natural fresh fruit. Work of the New-York collective chosen and presented by the artpadiens.
Third phase from 4-2 till 1-3: How are You Never you? Own work of the artpadiens.
Starting on November 23 2014 the artpadians, so-called users of the artpad, set up three consecutive exhibitions in a room of the Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens in Deurle as curators and creators.
